Chelsea Ballet Summer School

Chelsea Ballet Summer School is one of the longest running and most-loved adult dance summer schools in the country.

In 2005, Chelsea Ballet director Louise wanted to attend a summer school but struggled to find anything for adults. All the summer schools were designed for kids, professional students and professional dancers. This spurred Louise on to create a summer school that was affordable, provided quality teaching, and had small class sizes affording the opportunity to meet like-minded dancers.

Many years on, and the Chelsea Ballet Summer School continues to go from strength to strength. Run as a not-for-profit venture, it is friendly, welcoming and inclusive. By attracting enthusiastic adult dancers of all abilities who return year after year, it creates a supportive environment where dance talent and passion can be nurtured. With a flexible pick and mix programme, dancers can design a day or a week to suit their skills and availability.

The summer school is open to anyone over the age of 18 with an elementary and above standard of ballet who would like the chance to work on technique and performance quality in a friendly and supportive environment and receive correction and advice from the teaching staff. Please note that the school and workshop are not suitable for beginners.
